At the beautiful Gwadar beach

At a 60 years old chai shop with local Gwadris. Best tea, still for only Rs 5 a cup. Notice my cap, "I luv Balochistan"

Note: I'm not a political person but 100% supporter of everyones human rights.

Lot more pics to come ASAP

^^ Minnat vaar maan braat.

The best thing, even more than scenery, was the people I met.

The school master & researcher of Gwadar history, Mr Abdul Ghafoor, who I had the honor of meeting & listening to. He has done massive for over a decade on the history of Gwadar & Makran. Hopefully it'd come out in the form of book this year, after massive editing (as its over 800 pages).

The city councelor, Mr Aqeel, who brought us an absolute AWESOME fish from his home. I'll have to go there before I die, to eat once more!!!  (yh)

Sadaf Resort owner, Mr Abdul Ghaffar, whom I donated my copy of book, THE COUNTRY OF BALOCHISTAN, written in 1864 ie (150 yrs ago), to keep in his hotel library for future guests to his hotel.

Also gave me my Makran Music CD, made by a British in 1992, to play instead of English or urdu music in his hotel.

There were lots of other people who humbled me immensely by their honesty, hospitality & dignified mannerism.

I can go on & on about the merchants in Shahi bazaar I talked to, 50 yrs old paan shop store's owner, 60 yrs old tea shop & the young men there; but I won't bore you.

Instead I'll post few pics I took. Taking pics was almost an after thought as I was so immersed in listening to them that I'd forget to take pics.

Talking to local folks & leaders in downtown Gwadar.

Having tea & checking out for potential book about Gwadar history, at Mr Ghafoor's house.

Sadaf Rest's owner, Abdul Ghafoor. Best hotel experience EVER!! View, Food & Service ROCKS!!!

A game of cards is going on, but they still shook hands with each one of us.

The corner store who gave us water even when we forgot our wallet in the hotel. (Later we paid him & thanked even some more)

The very caring doctor at the local hospital who managed to get this machine & made it work, after 5 yrs of red tape with govt authorities.

Reception area of Sadaf Resort. We met people from Quetta, Turbat, Khuzdar, LasBela, Chitral, Peshawar & ofcourse some Liyarrians there. Some of the nicest staff who provided us some "french fries" when we got hungry at night.

The care taker of "sperm whale" at Jeewni

The kulfiwala who gave us directions to old Omani castle, inspite of our miserable Balochi.

Inside the well-kept (but littered) one of the 2 Omani castles, that I got to visit.

Ah! FOOTBALL !!!

And school kids...

The hardworking folks of Gwadar!

Goofing around with local policeman.

Third pic above is definitely not historic, as its an example of monstrous waste of money by Musharraf govt. That was meant to be a police station, inspired by the architecture of Gwadar, but now its stand in middle of nowhere on abandoned roads without roof. There are atleast 2 more huge ones I saw there. So criminal !!!

Thank You Very Much Brat ,

Im Intending in Sharing these photos with some Omani Friends If You Dont Mind !!!

I Feel Really Sorry That The Government in Charge of The Gwadar Did Nothing To Preserve These Historical Buildings which Are Parts of The History of Gwadar !!!

What That Dinosaur Remaining Doing There They Should Have Been In A Museum

Instead of Using Them As A Roof Cover !!
