THIS CHURCH MADE OF HUMAN BONES

Truth is sometimes stranger than fiction, and how about 70 kilometers east the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague, lies a small town called Sedlec. It might have been an ordinary enough town, if not for its extraordinary church. The inside of this church is decorated with artworks made of real human bones. The story begins in 1218, when a certain Abbot Henry made a pilgrimage to the holy land and brought
back a jar full of soil from cemetery, which he spread over the Church. As a result the church came to be regarded as more sacred and turned into a popular burial spot . By 1318,more than 30,000 bodies were buried there and by 1511,it had become necessary to remove the older bones to make place for the new ones. These later became the material for the macabre creations. In 1870 a local woodcarver was hired
by the Duke of Shwartzenberg to decorate the inside of the church with the human remains (approximately 40,000 sets of human bones).

Would you walk on this?

The Glass Bridge Construction of the Skywalk began March of 2004 and is estimated to be completed by 4th quarter of 2006.

Glass Bridge will be suspended 4,000 feet above the Colorado River on the very edge of the Grand Canyon. On May 2005, the final test was conducted and the structure passed engineering requirements by 400
percent, enabling it to withstand the weight of 71 fully loaded Boeing 747 airplanes (more that 71 million pounds). The bridge will be able to sustain winds in excess of 100 miles per hour from 8 different
directions, as well as an 8.0 magnitude earthquake within 50 miles. Morethan one million pounds of steel will go into the construction of the Grand Canyon Skywalk.

Sabit your fav car is awesome. I happened to be simultaneously browsing auto blogs and found the new tuned Ford Mustangs: the Shelby GT500 and the Shelby Mustang. This is a great comeback for Ford.
